In Tennessee Williams' classic, overworked and underwhelmed Tom struggles to exist in and plots to break free from the cage that his life has become. Living in the shadow of an overbearing mother constantly consumed by adolescent memory, and caring for a sister plagued by crippling shyness. 

Tom struggles to answer: How do we keep our future from becoming an everlasting pool of regret when our past and present leave us little else to hope for?
